Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils to benefit health and well-being. Aromatherapy and health can mean different ways for different people.
Many people do not realise how effective aromatherapy can be in treating a wide variety of illness such as stress, eczema, inflammation, muscular pain, as well as helping to promote good mental health.
This is because aromatherapy uses essential oils come from plants/shrubs/flowers which has a chemical part. These parts have a chemical use which in turn helps to promote good health within the body and mind. As EJ Bowles calls them “Aromatheraputic Oils!”
The oils can be used by inhalation via an oil burner, in the bath, or simply on a tissue or pillow. The oils can also be diluted in a carrier oil and then massaged into the skin. If you have ever used a product such as Olbas Oil, Vicks or a wheat bag you have already begun with aromatherapy. For example, Vicks uses camphor and eucalyptus oil to relieve congestion for your nose. However, this is just the tip of iceberg when using essential oils.
CAUTION: Essential oils are dangerous. Do not use without extreme caution and knowledge. If in doubt contact a qualified aromatherapist.
